Travel Insurance Updates

Allianz

https://www.allianztravelinsurance.com/coverage-alerts/2019-novel-coronavirus.htm

  • Coverage. To see the steps we are taking to better serve our customers, please visit AllianzTravelInsurance.com and view our current Coverage Alert. Coverage information will also be sent out directly to customers who have purchased one of our plans and have future travel dates.
  • Date changes to existing policies: If the customer changes the dates of their trip, they can also change the dates of coverage on their travel protection plan, up to 770 days after initial purchase of their plan. If the customer does not yet know their new travel dates, we can issue a credit that can be applied toward insurance for later travel taking place within 770 days after their initial purchase date. You can easily make these changes in AgentMax or by visiting AllianzTravelInsurance.com/partner.

Plan refunds: For a temporary period, we are offering refunds for the cost of the travel protection plan to customers who wish to cancel their travel protection plan if the customer’s travel supplier cancels the customer’s trip due to COVID-19, so long as no payable claim has been filed under the plan. Other plan cancellation rules continue to apply as well (generally 15 day free look period; varies based on plan and state of residence).
